Everything about Keyword Density for better ranking (2020)

keyword density

SEO sometimes seems like rocket-science because it involves so much.
Why can't we blog instead of worrying about search engine visibility?

Sadly, search engines are a spontaneous topic and you need to help them understand your content and your site. You should work on Search engine optimization for better visibility to get more traffic.

        What is Keyword Density?

According to many bloggers and many SEO company Keyword density is the percentage of the times of keyword on a page divided by the total number of words on that page.
If you write an article around 100 words and you use your focused keyword 7 times, so your article's Ideal keyword density is 7%. But many people use different formulas to calculate this Density.
The key you need to put keywords on a page is to make the search engine bots better understand your content so you can rank for those keywords.

However, in recent times, the density of keywords matters far less than the quality of the site and the authority of the site.

However, this does not mean that keyword density does not hold any value in SEO. It does, In fact, this is one of the reasons for the on-page SEO checklist.

What’s the ideal keyword density percentage (according to Google)?

Myths :
If we use keywords much time, we will higher rank in Search Result.
This can actually be bad because Google can treat your page (and your site) as "keyword spamming" and lead to an over-optimization penalty.

However, there is no ideal or accurate percentage for advanced rankings.

Personally, "semantic keywords" and LSI keywords work best for me, along with 3-5% of the keyword density.

Google suggests writing natural articles. Again, no ideal percentage, but placing your keyword in a natural place will work best.
Good Keyword Density percentage in the article look natural.
There are several keyword density calculators available that you can use to calculate density. Try to keep your density around 1.5%.
So where do you put your keyword?
  • On the permalink
  • H1 tag
  • H2 tags
  • Meta Title Tags
  • Begin the article
  • End of article
  • Add relevant images and use your target keyword as anchor text.
Instead, try adding value to your content.

You can use video and slides and other media tools to make your content more informative and presentable.

        Point to be noted

  1. Keyword Density is important but does not stuff this focus keyword, Please avoid it.
  2. Bold and italicize your keywords and other important "semantic keywords".
  3. The article should look Pure, natural and user-friendly.
  4. Use Long-Tail Keywords.
  5. Use Keyword Variations.
Lastly, search engines care most about these other factors for ranking:

1. How effective is your article?
2. How informative is this?
3. How many social signals do your articles receive?
4. How many backlinks are you getting?

There are several hundred signals that Google considers when ranking a site. Keyword density is certainly one of those signals. It will help to do it right, but it will not be good to do it wrong.
